Anthony James Cucchiara

June 13, 2006 — May 30, 2026

Fitchburg

It is with a broken heart that we celebrate the life of Anthony James Cucchiara, a remarkable young man whose time with us was far too short, yet brimming with laughter and warmth. Born on June 13th, 2006, in Leominster, MA, Anthony was a radiant beacon of good humor, resilience, wit, and thoughtfulness. He had a knack for making people laugh and could build a personal connection with anyone, of any age.

Anthony was a proud 2024 graduate of Montachusett Regional Vocational Technical School from the HVAC and Property Maintenance Program. His determination drove him to further his career by obtaining his oil burner technician certificate. Since 16, he wanted to work to earn and save money, and for much of that time held two jobs, one in his field, most recently at Anna Maria College, and Hannaford Super Market in the evening and on weekends. Despite his hardworking nature, Anthony knew the value of taking life at his own pace. He had a zest for life that was palpable. Whether he was riding his motorcycle, helping his mother with projects around the house, swimming in any body of water he could find, or planning his next vacation with family or friends, Anthony was always up for an adventure.

He was a foodie who always loved trying something new or enjoying his favorite comfort dishes. He had recently developed a love for golf and got to the driving range and scheduled tee times with friends as often as possible. Despite being born and raised in New England, he was a longtime fan of the Baltimore Ravens and the Tampa Bay Rays, proudly sporting the gear of each team. Anthony found comfort in his faith and was the pride of his mother's life, and made her and his family endlessly proud. He was deep-rooted in tradition, and even as he got older was excited for those yearly events with family. His beloved cat Jack was so special to him; he had a caring connection with all animals and always took the time to shower them with love and attention.

Anthony is survived by his mother, Bess Cucchiara; his father, Matthew Cucchiara; his fiancée, Alissa; his brothers, Dominic Cucchiara and Austin Sullivan; his grandmother (Mimi), Susan Cormier and her partner, Peter; his grandfather, Richard Cucchiara; his bonus grandmother, Donna Cormier; and many aunts, uncles, and cousins. He was predeceased by his grandfather (Papa) Dennis Cormier and grandmother, Patricia Cucchiara. His family, his friends, and the many lives he touched with his laughter and kindness will never forget this funny, resilient, playful, light-hearted, and charismatic young man.

As we mourn Anthony, let's remember the countless memories and good times he brought to our lives. His life was far too short, but he left such an impact on so many. Remember to laugh, enjoy the little moments, and to be kind, just as Anthony would want us to be.
