Barbara A. LeBlanc

Barbara LeBlanc was a devoted wife, phenomenal mother, nana, nana2, and friend. If you were lucky enough to have "Big Bird" take you under her wing, you were truly blessed to be embraced with warmth, love, and unsolicited wisdom.

Married for 43 years to the love of her life, "Fay" (Bumpa), she always knew she was adored. A bar set so high it was a challenge to maintain her "Queen" status once he passed.

She endured for another 24 years without him, surrounded by her "flock" who filled her days by sharing life's trials and tribulations as well as joy and triumphs and special occasions such as weddings where the family was asked to teach "Bostonese" and where the teasing almost forced her son-in-law Rob to quip, "Don't make me pull this van over," just one of many very funny memories for us all.

She always carried you in her heart and on her wings and made sure you knew where she stood, especially if you were going off the rails.

She looked forward to every call, every visit, every holiday, and every success. She also looked forward to her Friday night airings at "The Tankard" where if you got to hang out with her, you became one of the "Cool Kids" by association.

She always found the time to play cards or games, arts and crafts anytime the kids, old and new, would ask.

A formidable force, we will miss her sense of humor, her positive attitude, and sound advice. We know that force will live on in the legacy she left behind within her family, to always work hard, love each other unconditionally, never forget to hug each other, and always say "I love you!" She would say we were conceived in love, raised in love, and will always be forever loved!

Barbara is survived by her daughters: Kym Jollimore and her husband Rob, and Kathy LeBlanc. Her sisters: Paula St. Jean and Husband Joe, and Cynthia Metevier. Barbara was predeceased by her husband, Alfred LeBlanc; Son, Kevin LeBlanc; Mother and Father-Pauline Leys and Charles Leys; Brother, Charles Leys; and sister, Sheila Corkum. She also leaves behind her beloved grandchildren and step-grandchildren: Jamie, Michael, Danielle and Nicholas Ashley, Linsey, Mark and Stacy. Her great-grandchildren and step-great-grandchildren: Madison, Donna, Jeffery, Jake, Kaydence, Kennedy, Lily Grace, Samantha, Kobe, Felicia, Autumn, Cody, Hazel and Margot.

We invite you to join us in honoring Barbara's life during a Funeral Mass on Friday, October 2nd, at 11:00 AM at St. Leo's Church, 108 Main Street, Leominster, MA 01453.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to Health Alliance Leominster - Home Health and Hospice, 60 Hospital Rd, Leominster, MA.
