WESTMINSTER, MA – Betty A. David (Bianchin), 87, of Westminster, MA, passed away September 26, 2024, at home after a long illness.
She was born in Fitchburg on June 8, 1937, a daughter of the late Domenic and Christine (Fallavollita) Bianchin. Betty was the loving wife of Paul Francis David for 42 years.
Betty worked at Avery Dennison for years prior to retiring, in which she found her true calling. After losing her husband to cancer, Betty devoted many years as a hospice volunteer. Betty then proceeded to be an active member of the Leominster Senior Citizens Center as well as a board member on the Council on Aging. Betty enjoyed playing cards, socializing with her friends and baking pizzelles.
Betty was a devout Catholic which kept her strong throughout the years and up unto the end of her life. Once Betty moved into her “little slice of heaven” home overlooking Crocker Pond, she joined Saint Edward the Confessor. Her greatest joys in life were her faith and her family.
Betty is survived by her children, Paul David (wife Maura), Donna Tomasetti (husband Ken), Christine Francis (husband Robert) and many grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, and nephews. In addition to her parents and husband, Betty is predeceased in death by her siblings Robert Bianchin, Elaine Tambeau, Elena “Daisy” Babineau, Anthony (Tony) Bianchin, and Domenic (Fuzzy) Bianchin.
The family extends a special thanks to Dr. Sonali Harchandani and Dr. Mandeep Hundal for their excellent care and compassionate service.
Calling hours for family and friends will be at the Brandon Funeral Home, 305 Wanoosnoc Road, Fitchburg, MA, on Saturday, October 5, 2024, from 9:00am until 11:00am. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated immediately following at Saint Edward the Confessor Church, 10 Church Street, Westminster, MA at 11:30am. Interment will immediately follow at St. Bernard’s Cemetery.
