A funeral service will be held at 9:00 am on Saturday, August 18 in the Brandon Funeral Home, 305 Wanoosnoc Rd., Fitchburg. Burial will be in Forest Hill Cemetery. Calling hours are from 6-8 Friday, August 17 in the funeral home.



Carlos J. Irizarry passed away on Friday, August 10th 2018, surrounded by his loving family. On June 22nd 1950, Carlos was born to Florentina and Eduviges Irizarry in Lajas, Puerto Rico. He was raised in Brooklyn, New York and later became a local resident of Fitchburg, Massachusetts in the 1980’s. Carlos first employed at the age of 16, earned a living doing an array of industrial jobs. His last employment was working for a paper company as a forklift operator for over 20 years. He was a great man of integrity, fairness and good labor ethics. Unfortunately due to an accident, he was forced to retire early. He was humble and lived a life of privacy and simplicity. Carlos enjoyed music, watching the hallmark channel and The Three Stooges. He loved spending time with family and the sound of rain. Carlos is survived by his daughter, Nora Lisa Pellegrino; his sons Carlos Irizarry and Cano Irizarry. He is survived by his grandchildren, siblings, nieces, nephews, numerous cousins and his devoted immediate family.
