The funeral will be held on Saturday, January 30, from Brandon Funeral Home, 305 Wanoosnoc Rd., Fitchburg with Mass in Our Lady of the Lake Church, Leominster at 10:00 am. Burial will be private. Calling hours will be held on Friday, January 29 from 4-7pm in the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers the family request that memorial contributions be made to the Simonds Sinon Cancer Center, 275 Nichols Rd., Fitchburg, MA 01420 or to the American Cancer Society, 30 Speen St. Framingham, MA 01701.



Leominster – Charles E. Kennedy, 63, of Leominster, formerly of Burlington, MA, passed away Saturday, January 23, in Leominster Hospital after a courageous four year battle with lung cancer.

Charles was born in Arlington on April 16, 1952, a son of the late Charles F. and Mary E. (Abbot) Kennedy. For many years he worked as a Facilities Engineer at the Devens Job Corp, where he touched many lives. Charles loved his job, and made many lasting bonds and friendships.

He was an avid golfer and enjoyed watching all Boston sports. For many years Charles loved to play street hockey. Charles was also a weather enthusiast and loved to vacation in Vero Beach, Florida.

He leaves his beloved wife of 43 years, Patricia (Mancini) Kennedy of Leominster; his loving children, Christopher Kennedy of Fitchburg and Erin Kennedy of Leominster. He also leaves the loves of his life, his beautiful granddaughters, Sadie Kennedy and Alyssa Kennedy; sisters, Nancy Little and husband Wayne of Billerica, Kathleen Calabro and husband David of Billerica, Patricia Corlin and husband Charles of New Hampshire; brother, Richard Kennedy of Texas; many nieces, nephews, god children, and wonderful close friends.
