Christine J. Bellabarba

Christine (Jeanne) Bellabarba (Gagnon), 87, passed away peacefully on April 8, 2023, at home,
surrounded by her family.

She was born in Fitchburg, MA on July 18, 1935, the daughter of Arthur and Jeanne (Caron) Gagnon. She
graduated from St. Bernard’s High School in Fitchburg in 1953. After high school she married the love of
her life, Louie Bellabarba and stayed at home to raise her children for many years before working in the
school cafeteria at St. Anthony’s Elementary School, she then worked at Victory Supermarket and later
retired from the Fitchburg Public Schools where she worked in the cafeteria.

She was a member of St. Anthony’s church and spent many years on the Hospitality Committee. She
loved cooking for family and friends, camping, dancing, playing cards and doing word search puzzles.
She especially loved listening and singing along to music (polka). She had a way of making everyone
laugh and always had a witty comment to make.

She is predeceased by her parents, Arthur and Jeanne (Caron) Gagnon, her brother Guy Gagnon, her
sons, Paul and David Bellabarba and her niece, Diana Bellabarba. She leaves behind her loving husband of nearly 64 years, Louis Bellabarba, her children, Michael Bellabarba and his wife, Donna of Templeton, Ma, Dennis Bellabarba and his wife, Josette of Phillipston, Ma, her grandchildren Justin Bellabarba and Felicia Friend and her husband, Nathan, her sister, Michelle
Peel and her wife Barbara McLaughlin, her sister-in-law and lifelong friend, Carol Gagnon and many
nieces and nephews. She will be deeply missed by all that knew her.

A special thanks to her care team, Arlene, Bea, Bonnie, Deanne, Denise, Eva, Kerry, Tatiana, Wendy and
Felicia. She was so grateful for your companionship and care and loved each of you dearly. Thank you to
the Health Alliance Home Health and Hospice Team for the incredible care and support you provided.

Family and friends will gather to honor and remember Christine for a period of visitation on Monday,
April 17, 2023, at Brandon Funeral Home, 305 Wanoosnoc Rd. Fitchburg, MA, from 4:00PM until
6:00PM. A funeral mass will be celebrated for Christine on Tuesday, April 18, 2023, at St. Anthony of
Padua Church, 84 Salem St, Fitchburg, MA 01420, at 10:00AM. Burial will follow mass at St. Bernard’s
Cemetery, St. Bernard’s Cemetery, 96 Goodrich St, Fitchburg, MA 01420.
