A calling hour will be held on Friday, March 26, from 9-10:30am in Brandon Funeral Home. A Mass will be held at 11am in Our Lady of the lake Church, followed by burial at Saint Joseph Cemetery in Fitchburg.
Claire Georgine (Lagace) Cloutier passed away peacefully at home on March 22, 2021, surrounded by her family.
She was born on Dec 29, 1939 in Fitchburg, the daughter of the late Marie (Couture) and George Lagace. Her Husband Joseph P. Cloutier predeceased her in 2008.
She is survived by her Daughter Marie and her husband Keith Morris of Fredericksburg, VA, Daughter Michelle Cloutier and her spouse Lynda Galbato of Abington Ma, Son Paul Cloutier of Fitchburg, and Daughter Jeanne Cloutier of Leominster and her Partner Bernie Cameron. She is also survived by her 4 grandchildren Rebecca and her husband Andreas Stanley of Savern MD, Douglas Morris and Sarah Morris of Fredericksburg, VA, and Kara Champagne and her husband Travis of Templeton, MA. She is also survived by 7 great grandchildren Zoe, Delilah and Alexa Stanley of MD, Landon Carter of VA., Harper and Haley Champagne of Templeton, MA and Dylan McCoy of Fredericksburg, VA.
Claire is a graduate of St Bernards High school, 1956 and Burbank Hospital School of Nursing/Fitchburg State College 1960. She was a lifetime member of the Burbank Hospital Alumni Association and worked as a Registered Nurse at Burbank Hospital/Health Alliance for 33 years and also at the Mass Ambulatory Colonoscopy Center for 4 years.
She was an active member of Our Lady of the Lake Parish and Eucharistic minister for many years. Her favorite pastimes were reading, traveling with her Husband, and visiting with family and friends.
