Clifford James Hubbard, lovingly known as **“Oh Cliffy,”** was born in Fitchburg, Massachusetts, on July 5, 1943. He passed away peacefully on September 30, 2026, joining his beloved wife, Elizabeth (Betty), and other family members in heaven.
Cliff was funny, adventurous, dependable, and devoted to his loved ones. His laughter, curiosity, and determination touched everyone around him.
A dedicated power plant engineer and successful businessman, Clifford founded A&E Environmental, Inc. at the young age of 50. He continued working and sharing his knowledge and entrepreneurial spirit well into his 80s.
He enjoyed poker, cooking on the grill for everyone, volleyball, music, traveling in his motorhome, and tinkering with his Bobcat and lawnmower. He loved telling stories, sharing laughter, and making memories.
Cliff made friends wherever he went. He had a way of making everyone feel welcome and valued. He was a loving father, devoted grandfather, and steadfast friend and neighbor. His laughter, stories, and memories will continue to comfort all who knew and loved him.
Clifford is survived by his daughters, Diane Hubbard, and Dawn Hubbard; grandchildren, Raymond Armstrong, Mason Noseworthy, Gabriela Hubbard, and Kristina Armstrong; great -grandchildren, Grayson Hubbard and Faith Armstrong, his sisters, Flo LaRoche, Helen Walsh, Theresa Brochu, and cousin, Kathy Johnson.
He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Betty; Twin Brother David Arsenault, mother Florence LaRoche; brothers, Leo LaRoche, Dennis LaRoche, and Roger LaRoche, aunt and uncle, Winifred and Wallace Johnson.
The family invites loved ones to visit Clifford’s memorial page, share memories, and upload photographs celebrating his life.
Though Clifford is no longer with us, his love and memories will remain forever.
