David R. Goodridge

David R. Goodridge, age 63, and a resident of Fitchburg, MA, passed away on December 6, 2023.

David was born on March 9, 1960, in Boston, MA, to the late David and Rita (Allen) Goodridge. He attended Fitchburg High School. David was a furniture refinisher working for Cadrette Manufacturing and the Settle Shop in Townsend for over 20 years. In his younger years he liked to ski , fish. and visit flea markets where he often picked up furniture pieces to refinish. He was a big Patriot’s fan and enjoyed watching football and collecting Patriot’s memorabilia.

David was a down to earth type of guy who easily made friends. Family and friends were important to him. He enjoyed going to his grandson Tylor’s street hockey games. David , nicknamed ‘The Turtle’, would go every morning to the Fifth Street diner to visit with friends. He will be greatly missed by family and friends.

David is predeceased by his parents David Goodridge and Rita (Allen) Goodridge. He leaves behind his loving daughter Rebecca Rodriguez, his sister Judy Leclair, and his five grandchildren Tylor Goodridge, Hannah Cummisky, Maddison Cummisky, Kaylee Cummisky, and William Cummisky. He will be missed dearly by all that knew him.

Family and friends will gather for a period of visitation on Saturday, December 30, 2023 at Brandon Funeral Home, 305 Wanoosnoc Rd. Fitchburg, MA, from 9:00am until 11:00am with a private burial.
