We pause today to remember and celebrate the life of David Vincent, a loving husband, father, son, brother, and friend who has completed his journey on Earth and has now returned to his eternal home. Born on June 18, 1979, in Port-au-Prince, Haiti, David or "Dave" as he was affectionately known, was a beacon of love, spirit, compassion, and dedication. His radiant smile and infectious laughter brought joy to all who were blessed to know him.
A spirited engineer by trade, David's dedication to his craft was admirable. His 28 years in the construction business were marked by his strong work ethic and an unwavering commitment to excellence. He was a man who found beauty in creation and life, a trait reflected in his award for gardening. Beyond his professional accomplishments, his most cherished roles were those within his family and faith community. He was a devoted husband to his wife, Darline Celestin Vincent, whom he married on August 24, 2013, a loving father to his son, Gabriel Immanuel Vincent, and a treasured son and brother to his parents, Guy and Clermanie Vincent, and his siblings, Guyrardelle, Merline, Natasha, Jean Claude, and Louvenson Vincent
David's deep-rooted faith was the cornerstone of his life. His love for the Lord was palpable, mirrored in his service at Grace First Baptist Church in Clinton and his tireless dedication to serving others. He lived by the verse from the Bible, Proverbs 3:5-6, “Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight". Dave lived simply and humbly, always careful that his words and actions would glorify his Lord and Savior. He loved worship and praise, and he used every opportunity to speak about God's goodness. His life was a testimony of faith, obedience, and unwavering devotion.
As we remember David, we celebrate a life well-lived, marked by love, service, and faith. We invite all who knew and loved him to share their memories and photos on his memorial page, honoring his legacy and the indelible mark he left on our hearts.
As we gather to celebrate the life of this extraordinary man, David Vincent. He will be dearly missed, but his spirit lives on in the lives of those he touched.
