Donna Jean Brazier, 79, of 329 Cathy St, passed away peacefully Saturday morning, August 9th, in her longtime home, with her daughters by her side, after a long battle with Alzheimer’s. She was born June 25, 1946, in Fitchburg, the daughter of Raymond and Anna (Waskewicz) Descarreaux, and was a lifelong resident of Fitchburg.
Donna was married in 1966 to her high school sweetheart Gary Brazier. They raised 2 children and remained happily together until he passed in 2004. Donna and Gary would have been married for 59 trips around the sun this year. A true testament of devotion and companionship.
Donna worked as the Executive Assistant to the President of Rollstone Bank and Trust for many years until her retirement. She had previously worked for the President of Safety Fund National Bank in Fitchburg.
Donna enjoyed spending her time at York Beach with her family and friends. She would take yearly trips as long as she was able, making the best memories for us to keep and cherish. She loved going for long rides, out for ice cream, and listening music, new and old. She also loved to bake and her cream cheese brownies will be sorely missed.
We could talk about her all day but we will just say this, she had the biggest heart and smile to match. She was generous, kind, and devout in her faith. She was an amazing wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, sister-in-law, aunt, and friend. Life will never be the same without her, but she gave us all so much. We can all take those things, and be what we loved most about her.
Peace, love, and light to you all.
