With a spirit as adventurous as the universe he loved, Edward Nadeau, known fondly as Ed, Eddie, and Papa Ed, left us on July 31, 2025. Edward was born on November 30, 1947, in Fitchburg, MA, and spent his later years nestled in the serene town of Greenville, New Hampshire.
Edward's life was an embodiment of service, adventure, and love. He was a humble Vietnam veteran who dedicated many years to the Water Department of Pepperell as an engineer. Edward was adventurous, always looking forward to his next journey. His love for Sci-fi was only outdone by his love for travel. A highlight was his last bucket list trip, a mesmerizing safari in Tanzania. He believed in the words of J.R.R. Tolkien, "Not all those who wander are lost," and he carried this adventurous spirit until the end.
Edward was a man who held his family close to his heart. He was preceded in death by his wife, Jean (Bachand) Nadeau; his parents, George and Alice Nadeau, and his brother, Leonard Nadeau. He is survived by his son, Derrick Nadeau and his wife, Nancy of Gardner, MA; his daughter, Tiffani (Nadeau) James and her husband, Gary of Taunton, Somerset, UK; and his sister, Cindy. Edward's extended family, too numerous to list but not forgotten, also survive him. Each one of them held a special place in Edward's heart.
