Edward Henry Thibault

March 18, 1946 — April 11, 2026

Westminster

Edward Henry Thibault, known affectionately as Ed or Eddie to his loved ones, was a beacon of kindness, dedication, and strength to his family.

Born on March 18, 1946, in Fitchburg, Ed was known for his loyalty, a quality he generously extended to his family, friends, and work. Ed served honorably in the US Navy. Ed spent the majority of his career as a skilled welder and leader at Wyman and Gordon in Grafton, MA, where his dedication and craftsmanship were valued greatly. He retired in 2009, leaving behind a legacy of hard work, and taking with him a collection of true friends.

Edward's spirit of adventure was only outshone by his deep love for his family. On August 30, 1969, he married his beloved wife, Kathy, and their love story became a testament to the power of commitment and mutual respect. Their son, Paul, was the apple of Ed's eye, and he took immense pride in his accomplishments. Ed's joy was found in the happiness of his family and his dedication to their well-being. Ed's love extended to his brother David, daughter-in-law Amy, brother/sister-in- laws, and nieces and nephews.

Edward was a man of few passions, but fishing, travel, and frequent trips to the casino were among his favorites, if not for the trip but spending time with the people he loved most. His thoughtful nature found solace in the tranquility of fishing, while his adventurous soul reveled in the thrill of discovering new places, and revisiting the old ones including countless trips to Aruba, Disney World, and cruises. The destination did not matter provided friends and family were present. Ed brought joy and occasional laughter wherever he went, lighting up the room with his supportive and encouraging presence, in his own quiet way.

Ed agreed with Mark Twain who said, "The more I learn about people, the more I like my dog." Ed loved animals more than most people. From his many beloved dogs and cats, bunnies, guinea pigs and grand dogs, wild ducks and birds - he never met an animal he didn't love.

Edward was preceded in death by his parents, Henry and Anita Thibault. He leaves behind his beloved wife, Kathy, their son, Paul and daughter-in-law Amy, who will forever cherish his memory. He is also survived by his brother David (Linda) Thibault, sister-in-laws Sue David and Ann David, and numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews and friends he considered family. He was pre-deceased by his brother-in-laws Danny David and Charles David.

Ed lived his life to the fullest despite adversity living by Walt Disney's words "If you can dream it, YOU CAN DO IT." Ed's life was a testament to the power of love, dedication, and loyalty. His legacy will live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved him. As we remember Ed, let us celebrate his life, honor his memory, and strive to emulate his enduring spirit of kindness and dedication.

In memory of Edward, we encourage friends and family to share their favorite memories and photos on his memorial page. Your contributions will serve as a loving tribute to a life well lived.
