Edwin A. Niemi, 89, passed away peacefully on Monday, February 8, 2021 at Health Alliance Leominster Hospital. Mr. Niemi was born on February 12, 1931 in Fitchburg a son of the late Urho and Nellie (Seliga) Niemi. He is survived by his wife, Carolyn (Price) Niemi, nephew, Gregory Morin and his wife, Rebecca of Ashburnham, niece, Lori Holloway and her husband, Michael of Shrewsbury. Mr. Niemi was the brother of the late Kenneth Niemi. Edwin was formerly employed at the Weyerhaeuser Paper Company and the former Foster Grant in Leominster. Mr. Niemi proudly served his country in the US Navy during the Korean War until his honorable discharge.
