Lunenburg – Elaine L. (Colburn) Eden, 79, passed away peacefully on December 17, 2020 surrounded by her loving family.
Elaine was born in Leominster on January 2, 1941, a daughter of the late Mendall W. Colburn, Sr. and Etha (Olsson) Colburn. She was a graduate of Lunenburg High School. Elaine enjoyed her career working as a Medical Secretary for Dr. Heimberg in Lunenburg for many years until her retirement.
Elaine will always be remembered for her kind spirit and gentle nature. She had to ability to make friends wherever she went; from her summers spent in Maine, to winters in Florida, she truly enjoyed meeting someone new. She loved to go shopping and visit antique stores, often adding to her vintage doll collection. Always generous and thinking of others, Elaine was a talented knitter, creating beautiful scarves for friends and family. Her family was her world, and she loved nothing more than spending time with them. She will be greatly missed.
She is survived by her husband of 59 years, G. Robert Eden of Lunenburg; two daughters, Lorna Smith and husband Paul of Lunenburg, and Diane Levanti and husband Michael of Westminster; grandchildren, Amanda Smith Moriarty and husband Eugene, Brittany Rogers and husband Patrick, Anthony Levanti and wife Alicia, and Eric Levanti and significant other Kimberly Francis; five great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.
Elaine was predeceased by her brother Mendall W. “Skip” Colburn, Jr.
