Ernest J. Boudreau, affectionately known as Ollie, passed away peacefully on July 3, 2025, in Health Alliance Hospital, Leominster Campus, after a brief illness.
He was born December 9, 1932, in Fitchburg, MA, the son of Edward and Lilla “Irene” Boudreau (Wheeler).
Ernest spent most of his life in Fitchburg until retiring to Wildwood, FL, with his wife, where they spent 18 years. His exemplary work ethic began in the US Navy, where he traveled the world while proudly serving in the Korean War. When he returned to civilian life, he worked in several paper mills throughout his career until retiring from Hollingsworth & Vose in 1997. He was an active member of the St. Francis Parish Horseshoe League, where one could see him practicing his pitch throughout the summer months. His love for sweets was well known, and he never said no to a piece of candy or a slice of cake.
Ernest was predeceased by his wife of 61 years, Charline “Chi” Maillet, in 2016. Ernest's life was enriched by the love and support of his family. He leaves behind three sons, Keith E. Boudreau and his wife, Brenda, of Townsend, Kevin P. Boudreau and his partner Jodi LaFountain of Gardner, Steven J. Boudreau and his wife Tracy, of Fitchburg, and a daughter, Lisa A. Conrad and her husband Christopher of Fitchburg, as well as eight grandchildren, thirteen great grandchildren with the fourteenth due in January 2026. He also leaves many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his two brothers, Joseph Boudreau and Alfred Boudreau. Ernest's legacy will be carried on by his loving family and the memories they shared.

Calling Hours will be held on Sunday, July 13, 2025 from 3:00-5:00PM at Brandon Funeral Home, 305 Wanoosnoc Rd., Fitchburg.
A Funeral Mass will be held on Monday, July 14, 2025 at 9:00 AM at St. Joseph's Catholic Church, 49 Woodland St., Fitchburg. Burial with military honors will follow at the Massachusetts Veteran's Memorial Cemetery, 111 Glenallen St., Winchendon.
