A funeral Mass will be held at 10:00am on Tuesday, October 19 in St. Joseph Church, 49 Woodland St., Fitchburg. Burial will be in St. Bernards Cemetery in Fitchburg. Calling hours are from 5-7 on Monday, October 18 in the Brandon Funeral Home, 305 Wanoosnoc Rd., Fitchburg.



Evelyn J. (Breault) Conroy, 82 passed away on Monday, October 11 after a long illness at the The Highlands in Fitchburg, MA. Evelyn was born in Westfield on January 10, 1939 a daughter of the late Albert and Catherine (Hamilton) Breault. Mrs. Conroy is survived by her husband of 62 years, Thomas F. Conroy of Fitchburg, her twin daughters, Lynn Easley and her husband Christopher of Fitchburg, Lisa Conroy of Fitchburg, brother Allen Breault of Hinsdale, NH, grandsons, Adam Easley and his fiancé Katie Rettie and Alex Easley. After graduating from Saint Bernard’s High School in 1957 Evelyn was employed at Woodcome Insurance Agency. Evelyn’s twins were born in 1960 and then she worked at the Sacred Heart Parish in Fitchburg as a caregiver to the parish priests. She later went on to work for the Fitchburg School Department as a teachers aide, and finished her working career as a legal secretary to Attorney’s Aubuchon and Roache of Fitchburg, MA. Mrs. Conroy was married at the Sacred Heart Church in Fitchburg and was a lifelong member where she served as a past President of the Women’s Guild. She will be remembered as a good wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend who loved reading, crocheting and traveling to Maine. Evelyn had spent the last year at the Highlands in Fitchburg. The family would like to Thank them for their excellent care of her.
