Filomena Orsalock

As a devout Roman Catholic, Filomena served her church and community with passion and faith. She devoted a number of years working in the St. Anthony's school cafeteria, where her supportive nature was felt by all.

Filomena was a lover of life, always seeking out new adventures and experiences. Her hobbies ranged from ballroom dancing to biking, and she had a particular love for traveling. She visited places as diverse as Italy (with her cousin Doris DeCicco) ,Hawaii (with her friend Pauline Sala), Japan, and Alaska. Her favorite destination was Martha's Vineyard, a place she held dear to her heart.

Filomena is survived by her children, David and Norie, grand-children Shelly Degagne, Shaun (Lee) Orsalock, Amy Orsalock, Kevin, Kathy, Dennis, and Samantha Morgan. She also leaves behind her great-grandchildren, Davlin Degagne, Shaun Orsalock Jr., Brittany Zocco, Tayber Wilder, and Jaxson Jones. Also, a few great-great grand children . She was preceded in death by her parents, Carlo and Iginia Testarmata, her husband, Chester Orsalock, her siblings Nazzareno (Ralph), Joseph, Romolo (Pics) Testarmata and her twin sister Laura DiNardo.

A Mass will be held on Monday, October 23, 2023 at 11 a.m. at St. Anthony de Padua Church 84 Salem St., Fitchburg. Burial will follow in St. Bernards Cemetery, Fitchburg.

A calling hour will be held on Monday, October 23, 2023 from 9 - 10:15 am in the Brandon Funeral Home, 305 Wanoosnoc Road, Fitchburg.

In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorial donations in her name to the Alzheimer's Association, 225 N. Michigan Ave,. Floor 17, Chicago, IL 60601.
