George Trainque

GULF BREEZE, FL - George Trainque, 84 of Gulf Breeze, FL passed away on March 20, 2023.

He was born in Fitchburg, MA on April 25, 1938 the son of Albert and Juliette (Morneau) Trainque.  George worked for Local 48 & 107 Carpentry Unions for many years. In 1981 he was 1 of the founding partners of CRIM construction which they operated for over 20 years.

He enjoyed creative woodworking crafts.  He was a car enthusiast and a member of the MidState Car Club as well as a member of the Knights of Columbus Council #99 for many years.  He was a big fan of all of the Boston sports teams.

He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Nancy (Shattuck) Trainque; two daughters, Cheryl Tardiff and her husband Thomas of Virginia, Brenda Johnson and her husband Alan of Gulf Breeze, FL; two sons, David Trainque of Fitchburg, Kenneth Trainque and his wife Krisanne (Franklin) of Lunenburg; one brother, Francis Trainque of FL; nine grandchildren Deven Trainque of Florida, Dawn Trainque, Amy Rose, Krystal Trainque and Marisa Trainque of Massachusetts, Joshua Trainque of Arizona, Jared Trainque of Virginia, Olivia and Alexis Johnson of Florida. Many nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by four sisters, Pauline Rousseau, Jeanne St. Pierre, Jeanette Gaudette, Clarisse Iannaccone and by two brothers, Norman Trainque and Paul Trainque.

A mass will be held on Friday, May 12, 2023 at 11 am in St. Bernard Church at St. Camillus, 333 Mechanic St., Fitchburg.  Burial will follow in St. Bernard Cemetery, Fitchburg.

Calling hours will be held on Friday, May 12, 2023 from 9 - 10:30 am at the Brandon Funeral Home, 305 Wanoosnoc Road, Fitchburg.
