Glenn Vaillancourt

January 6, 1948 — March 19, 2026

Glenn Vaillancourt, a beacon of light and hope for the countless children he taught, passed away on March 19, 2026. Born in Nashua, NH on January 6, 1948, Glenn spent the majority of his life in Leominster, Massachusetts, where he was more than just a teacher; he was a mentor, a guide, and a friend. Glenn's impact was felt not only by his students but also by everyone lucky enough to have crossed paths with him.

Glenn dedicated his life to the field of special education, tirelessly advocating for children who often felt unheard and unseen. Ralph Waldo Emerson once wrote, "To know even one life has breathed easier because you have lived. This is to have succeeded." By this measure, Glenn's life was a resounding success. His compassion, patience, and love for teaching transformed the lives of countless children, encouraging them to reach their full potential and to never stop dreaming.

Glenn’s special place was Orchard Hills Athletic Club. He loved summer camp with all the kids and all the staff.

Glenn is survived by his loving wife, Judy Vaillancourt, his sister-in-law Elaine Pickett, his nephews and neices Todd Pickett and his wife Trish, Tonya Pickett, and Timothy Pickett and his wife Karen, eight great nieces and nephews, five great great nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents, Louis and Delia Vaillancourt. His legacy will continue to live on in the hearts of those he loved and the students he inspired.

In honor of Glenn, family and friends are invited to share their memories and upload photos to his memorial page. As we bid farewell to Glenn, let us remember his life not with sorrow but with gratitude, for he truly made the world a better place. As Helen Keller once said, "What we have once enjoyed deeply we can never lose. All that we love deeply becomes a part of us." And so, Glenn will forever remain in our hearts.
