Janet L. Leblanc Leger

January 15, 1932 — December 20, 2018

Calling hours will be held in Brandon Funeral Home, 305 Wanoosnoc Rd., Fitchburg on Thursday, December 27, from 4-7pm. Funeral will be held in the funeral home on Friday, December 28, at 11:30am. Burial will follow in MA Veteran’s Memorial Cemetery in Winchendon.



 

Fitchburg – Janet L. (Leger) LeBlanc, 86, passed away surrounded by her family at UMass Medical Center on December 20, 2018.

Janet was born in Fitchburg on January 15, 1932 a daughter of the late Medley and Flora (LeBlanc) Leger. She graduated from Fitchburg High School and worked various part time jobs, including Doelha’s Card Shop in Fitchburg.

Janet loved to paint and craft beautiful crocheted blankets for all the children in the family. She could often be found in her garden, tending to her beautiful flowers. A woman of great faith and spirituality, Janet enjoyed bible study and attending her church services. Her greatest joy in life was spending time with her family, especially her beloved grandchildren and great grandchildren.

She is survived by her husband of 68 years Leo J. LeBlanc; children, Steven LeBlanc of Fitchburg, Russ LeBlanc and wife Anne of Lancaster, Kathy Pandiscio and husband Rich of Fitchburg, Jo-Ann Doucet and husband David of Fitchburg; grandchildren, Nicole LeBlanc, Ryan LeBlanc, Bryan LeBlanc, Melissa Longley-Martines, Krista Lyon, Adam Doucet, Whitney Doucet, Spencer LeBlanc, Shannon LeBlanc; 8 great grandchildren; a sister Norma Goguen of Fitchburg; several nieces and nephews.

Janet was predeceased by her sister Loretta Ouellette, a brother, Walter Leger, and her daughter in law, Jaqueline LeBlanc.
