EDEN – A celebration of Janette’s life will be held in the Brandon Funeral Home, 305 Wanoosnoc Rd. Fitchburg, at 10 A.M. on Friday April 24th. In lieu of flowers, in her memory please do a secret act of kindness or give to an elderly person or a child with a financial need.



LUNENBURG – Janette Cook (Kelley) Eden died on April 20, in Nashoba Valley Medical Center after a brief illness.

Mrs. Eden was born on November 10, 1915, in Lunenburg, Mass., daughter of Henry and Ava Kelley. She grew up in Lunenburg, where she lived until moving to Florida in 1968 to live in retirement with her husband.  She returned to Lunenburg in 2008 to live with her daughter and family. She was a 1933 graduate of Lunenburg High School, where she was the first recipient of the Gold L.

She was a long-time member of Highland Baptist Church and was active as a Pioneer Girl Leader and Sunday school teacher.  In Florida she was a member of the First Baptist Church of Hudson where she played piano and organ.

Mrs. Eden loved her family and was loved by them all in return. She leaves four sons: Roger Eden of Georgia; G. Robert Eden and his wife Elaine of Lunenburg; W. Anthony Eden and his wife Donna of Virginia; and Mark Eden and his wife Diane of Winchendon.  She leaves one daughter, Sandra Mailloux and her husband Richard of Lunenburg with whom she made her home for the last six years.  She was predeceased by a daughter Valerie M. Ellis in 1974 and  by her husband G. Lyman Eden in 1979.  She is also survived by 15 grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.  She was especially blessed by the faithful visits of her nieces Helen Brockleman and Betty Deming.
