Janice A. O'Connor

Janice A. O'Connor, a resilient and loving woman, whose family was at the core of her joy, peacefully departed this life on June 14, 2025. 

Born and raised in Fitchburg, Massachusetts, on June 11, 1940, Janice was a woman of strength and substance. She was a beacon of light for those around her, illuminating their path through life with her wisdom and love. She was a beloved mother, sister, and friend, and she will be dearly missed by all who knew her.

Janice was a woman of many talents and interests. She worked tirelessly as an Operations Assistant in the technology sector, leaving a lasting impact with her professional dedication and commitment. Her favorite job of all was raising her three children and watching over her grandchildren whom she loved and enjoyed cooking for up till her final days.

Janice is survived by her children, Cathy (Paul) Maguy, James (Teri) O'Connor, and Thomas (Susan) O'Connor, and her sister, Diane Lynch, 10 grandchildren, and 13 great- grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, Daniel and Dorothy Leo, and her sister, Judy Conry.

The calling hour will be held on Tuesday, June 24, 2025, at 10:00 am in the Brandon Funeral Home, 305 Wanoosnoc Road, Fitchburg, MA. Her funeral service will follow at 11:00 am in the funeral home. Burial will be at St Bernard's Cemetery, 96 Goodrich Street, Fitchburg, MA, at 12:00 pm.
