Calling hours will be held in Brandon Funeral Home, 305 Wanoosnoc Rd., Fitchburg on Tuesday, June 1, from 10am – 12noon. A graveside service will immediately follow in Forest Hill Cemetery, Fitchburg.
John Vincent Gallant Jr., age 68 of Fitchburg, MA, passed away May 23, 2021 at 4:20pm from a heart attack.
He was born August 9, 1952 in Fitchburg, MA, where he lived most of his life. He had a love of cars and a need for speed, and so you would always find him tinkering under the hood of an old muscle car. In his earlier years, he was married to Donna Forest for 13 years and together they made four beautiful children. Since that time, he had devoted 35+ years to Miller’s Paving, whom he loved working for and made many lifelong friendships. He spent the last 23 years with his partner and love of his life, Frances Hartigan.
John leaves behind 3 sisters, Doris Gallant, MA; Susan Beaudette, CA, Jo-Anne O’Connor of R.I., 1 brother, Jim Thibodeau, RI, 5 sons John, NC; Shane, NC; James, MA; Avery DeCarolis, NC; Cody Still, MA, 1 daughter, Tricia, NC, 3 step daughters, Jasmine, Natalia, and Katie, MA; 12 grandchildren.
