The funeral Mass will be held on Tuesday, October 26 in St. Anthony Church, Fitchburg at 11:00am. Burial will be private.
The family asks that in lieu of flowers that donations be made to St. Anthony Church, 84 Salem St., Fitchburg, MA 01420.
Josephine C. “Jay” Brasili
Jay passed peacefully into Eternal Life on October 14, 2021. Jay was born on March 19, 1926 to Luigi and Maria (Cefole) Brasili. She lived her entire life in Fitchburg and was a lifelong parishioner of St. Anthony Church.
Jay was a loving aunt to many, a dedicated friend, hard worker and provided care and comfort to her lifelong friends throughout their illnesses.
She worked at Fitchburg Yarn Company alongside her Pa until it’s closing in 1970 and then worked at Digital Equipment Company until her retirement in 1991.
Jay is survived by many nieces and nephews, as well as many friends, the Monday and Friday night card crew and her good and devoted friend Ida. Jay also leaves her dearest sisters-in-law Norma Brasili and Betty Brasili.
She was predeceased by her brothers John Brasili (Therese), Mario Brasili and Albert Brasili and her sisters Sr. Elisa Brasili, PBVM, Rita Hagan (Bob) and Maryann Smith (Ken).
Jay was very devoted to her faith and prayed the Rosary daily.
The family would like to thank the wonderful caretakers on the 4th Floor at Leominster Hospital and the Hospice Team. They are all very kind and compassionate.
