With broken hearts and endless love, we announce the passing of Kasandra Hernandez, who faced every challenge in life with remarkable strength, grace, and resilience. Her courage and unwavering spirit inspired all who knew and loved her.
Born on March 26, 1994, in Paterson, New Jersey, Kasandra was the beloved daughter of Elesandra Hernandez-Keefe, cherished stepdaughter of John Keefe, and loving daughter of her late father, Jose De Jesus.
She leaves behind her devoted sisters, Melanie, Vanessa, Alexis, and Jessica; her brother, Matt; her brothers-in-law, Paul and Qyn; her sister-in-law, Marisa; her beloved nieces and nephews, Analia, Roman, Theo, Aaron, Korbyn, Wrenley, and Gracelyn; her cherished godson, Sergio; her paternal grandfather, Antonio; maternal grandmother, Aida; her beloved great-aunt; and many loving aunts, uncles, cousins, friends, and extended family members.
Kasandra was predeceased by her father, Jose De Jesus, uncle Danny De Jesus, grandmothers, Iris De Jesus and Nancy Keefe, and her grandfather, Jack Keefe.
Kasandra shared a special bond with her best friend, Michelle, whose unwavering love and friendship remained by her side through life's most difficult moments.
As a Dental Assistant at Leominster Family Dental, Kasandra found not only a career but a second family, where she was deeply loved and supported. Her family is forever grateful for the compassion and care shown by the doctors, nurses, and staff of UMass Memorial Medical Center, especially the nurses of the 7th Floor ICU and West Side; the dedicated team at Brookhaven Hospice; and the staff of DaVita Dialysis, whose kindness, support, and friendship meant so much to Kasandra throughout her journey.
Kasandra found joy in life's simple pleasures—getting her nails done, shopping for candy at Five Below, working in the yard, spending time with family, and caring for her beloved cat, Sapphire, and dog, Bleu.
To know Kasandra was to know unconditional love, unwavering strength, and a heart that always put family first. Her beautiful spirit will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her. She will be missed beyond words and loved beyond measure.
