OBITUARY Fitchburg – Katherine V. (Persson) Chartrand, 68, of Westminster, passed away Tuesday, October 20, in UMass Medical Center in Worcester. Katherine was born in Fitchburg on June 24, 1947, a daughter of the late Knute and Assunta (Fortunato) Persson. She attended Fitchburg High School and worked for many years as a Bar Tender in several establishments. Katherine also worked for the H&R Gun Co. in Gardner. She was a longtime parishioner of St. Anthony di Padua Church in Fitchburg. Katherine was a loving and caring woman who always put her family first. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her. She leaves her loving husband of 44 years, Richard Chartrand of Westminster; five daughters, Laura Beauregard and husband Michael of Gardner, Wendy Shea of Worcester, Christine White of Philipston, Tina Lissabet and husband Ricardo of Westminster, and Angela Campuzano and her companion Phil Clark of Gardner; grandchildren, Ashley Decoteau, Chanel and Clarissa Brodard, Alysha and Kayla White, Sammy and Olivia Campuzano; several great grandchildren; sister, Geri Mitchell-Gionet and her husband Brian of Fitchburg. She also leaves her extended family members Daniel White and daughter Keayra White of Athol. Katherine was predeceased by her brother Knute “Dan” Persson.
