Lawrence H. David

Lawrence H. David, known affectionately to many as Larry, passed away on October 16, 2026, at The Life Care Center of Leominster. 

Born in Fitchburg, MA, on March 25, 1937, he was the son of the late Leon and Helena David (Shea) and the loving husband of 47 years to the late Mary "Brenda" David (Richard). He was also predeceased by his four siblings, Helen, Leon, Paul, and Ann. A man of deep faith, he found immense solace and joy in his Belief.

Larry was a proud lifelong resident of Fitchburg, Massachusetts, where he enjoyed his retirement after a successful career of 52 years at Foster Grant/Fosta-Tek Optics as a pattern maker. His work in the glasses manufacturing industry was marked by precision, creativity, and dedication. He retired in 2010, and the years following were filled with activities that he loved. 

He was an avid craftsman, with woodworking and carving being his favorite hobbies. He found serenity in his frequent walks and hikes, and he also enjoyed puzzles and reading. His passion for the New England Patriots and boxing was infectious, and his love for his dogs was heartwarming. He served in the Army National Guard.  Lawrence was a long-time member of the South End National Club

Lawrence is survived by two Sons, Scott David of Fitchburg and Michael David and his wife Melissa of Lunenburg, as well as grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.

A funeral mass will be held on Friday, October 23, 2026, at 10:30 am in St. Bernard Parish at St. Camillus Church, 333 Mechanic St., Fitchburg.  Burial will follow in St. Bernard Cemetery.

A calling hour will be held on Friday, October 23, 2026, from 9- 10 a.m. at the Brandon Funeral Home, 305 Wanoosnoc Road, Fitchburg.
