A graveside service will be held in St. Bernard’s Cemetery, Fitchburg on Saturday, January 9, 2021 at 11:00am.

Loretta (Chouinard) Baron, 79, passed away on Tuesday, December 22 at UMass Memorial HealthAlliance Hospital in Leominster, after a short battle with lung cancer.
She was born in Nashua, NH, on November 18, 1941, a daughter of the late Joseph and Eva (Cloutier) Chouinard of Greenville, NH. She is predeceased by her parents, her husband, Alfred Baron and her sister, Rachel Derosier.
She leaves one son, Kevin Baron and his wife, Brenda of Leominster; one brother, Gerard Chouinard and his wife, Jane of Annapolis, MD; one sister, Anita Winters of Fitchburg; two grandchildren, Kaitlyn and Matthew Baron of Leominster; and nieces and nephews. She also leaves behind many friends at her residence, the Sundial Apartments in Fitchburg.
Loretta was a 36 year resident of Fitchburg and a retired Market Basket cashier where she worked for 23 years. She enjoyed reading the daily newspaper, watching game shows on TV and playing bingo with her friends at the Sundial and at the Fitchburg Senior Center with her sister. Spending time with family always put a smile on her face.
She will be remembered as kind and friendly, able to strike up a conversation with anyone. She was loved by all and will be greatly missed. She bravely accepted that her time had come and kept her sense of humor until the very end.
