Lorraine M (LeBlanc) Leger 82 of Fitchburg, passed away peacefully at The Highlands, Fitchburg, on January 9, 2021 after a lengthy illness.
Lorraine was born in Bouctouche, NB, Canada on April 16, 1938, the daughter of the late Donat and Marie (LeBlanc) LeBlanc.
She worked for many years at the former Independent Lock, and as a companion and assistant for the elderly. She enjoyed casinos, Bingo and camping, but her greatest joy was being with her family and cooking her delicious French Canadian dishes for her family and friends. She was a parishioner at St. Joseph’s Church in Fitchburg.
Lorraine is survived by her three sons; Zoel Leger and wife Laureen, Leo Leger and wife Annette, and Denis Leger and fiancée Jeannie Nogueras, her grandchildren Eric Leger, Richard Leger, Nicholas Leger, Stacey Leger, Jamison Leger and Jenay Leger, and ten great-grandchildren.
She is also survived by her siblings Dora LeBlanc, Geneva Hache, Ernest LeBlanc, Aline Thebeau, Jeannine Thebeau and Felix LeBlanc. Lorraine was predeceased by her loving husband of 51 years Elric J. Leger in 2009 as well as her siblings Herve LeBlanc and Paul LeBlanc.
