Louise Emily (Rivard) Cote of Ashby, Massachusetts, born on December 28th 1948 in Fitchburg, was a woman of grace, laughter, and steadfast love. A beloved wife, mother, grandmother, aunt, and friend, she filled our hearts with her radiant spirit and her unwavering strength.
After graduating from St. Bernard's High School in 1966, she worked at car dealerships for all of her working life; first at deLongchamp Cadillac Oldsmobile in Fitchburg, and from there to Acton Lincoln Mercury, where she rose to the role of Assistant to the Controller.
Before and into her retirement, she enjoyed reading, crossword puzzles and other word games, solitaire games (cards and mahjong), singing in the church choir, going to the beach, and spending time with family. She passed away in her home on April 29, 2025, with family by her side in prayer.
Louise was preceded in death by her parents, Wilfred and Priscilla Rivard, her brother Vincent, her sister-in-law Anne Rivard, and her brother-in-law Doug Casker.
She leaves her loving husband of 55 years Richard Cote, their sons, David and his wife Marisa, and John and his children, Benjamin and Taliah, and her siblings: her brother Michael Rivard, her sister-in-law Sharon Rivard, wife of the late Vincent Rivard, her sister Winifred and her husband Randy Edwards, her sister Laura Casker, her sister Catharine and her husband Paul Revell, her brother Gerard and his wife Linda, her sister Priscilla and her husband Stefanos Panagiotidis, her sister Ramona and her husband Mark Stiles, her sister Celeste and her husband Rodney Bourgault, her sister Patrice and her husband Peter Doolan, her sister Bernadette and her life partner Christopher Juliano, her brother Wilfred Jr., her brother and godson Christopher and his wife Brenda, and her brother Nicholas and his wife Laurie, as well as many nieces and nephews and other family members.
As we honor the beautiful life of Louise Cote, we encourage you to share your cherished memories and photos on her memorial page. She lived her life with a will to make every moment matter, and in sharing these moments, we keep her light burning brightly.
