Shirley – Lucy H. Aiesi, 86, passed away in her home October 29, 2020 surrounded by loved ones.

She lived most of her life in Ashburnham and Shirley, Mass.

She was born in Fitchburg on August 1, 1934.  She spent her younger years in Fitchburg, graduating from St. Bernard’s High School. She worked at family owned Shady Vine Cooking serving food, and also at the Motel Caswell in Lunenburg as a switchboard operator. She fondly told stories assisting stays for famous people like Senator John F. Kennedy, Mickey Rooney, Cesar Romero and Rosemary Clooney, who would perform at the Whalom Theater. She later worked for many years as a bar manager at the former Four Winds Restaurant in Ashburnham until she opened her own restaurant “Lucia’s” on Bemis Rd. in Fitchburg. She was the onsite manager at Shaker Meadows for many years until her passing. She was full of life and loved her family.

She leaves her children, Annamaria Proietti, Charles Piermarini and wife Leslie, Angela Piermarini, Monica Marcil, Paul Piermarini, Dominic Piermarini and partner Diane, Mark Pronovost, Rose Pronovost Paradis and husband Jamie; eight grandchildren Santino, Natalie, Lacy, Nicholas, Christopher, Mariah, Brandon and Alexa and many great grandchildren; her God Daughter Dee Losi and many nieces and nephews.

She is predeceased by her parents Cologero and Mary C. Aiesi; siblings, Phil Aiesi, Giovannina (Jennie) Reichard, Catherine (Katie) DiMarzio, Josephine (Tootsie) Farrell, and Paul Aiesi.
