Margaret "Marge" (Mudron) Kane

A calling hour will be held in Brandon Funeral Home, 305 Wanoosnoc Rd., Fitchburg on Tuesday, November 1, from 9:30-10:30am. The funeral Mass will be held at 11:00am in Saint Joseph Church, 49 Woodland St., Fitchburg. Margaret will be cremated and later interred with a private family memorial in Toronto. Her arrangements will be in the care of the J.E. Foster Funeral Home in Toronto.

Masses may be offered in her name at St. Francis Church in Toronto OH, and St. Joseph Parish in Fitchburg, MA. Donations may also be made in her name to the Dementia Society of America (https://www.dementiasociety.org) or the Alzheimer’s Association (https://www.alz.org).

Margaret (Marge) Kane of Toronto, OH has gone home to be with her husband on Wednesday, October 26, 2022. She passed peacefully at the Benchmark Leominster Crossings Care Facility in Leominster, MA with her son Robert and daughter-in-law Caron at her side. Her dedicated team of caregivers from Leominster Crossings and Worcester Health Care were invaluable in providing her comfort during this difficult time; the family is truly grateful to them.

She was born on November 12, 1936 in Toronto, Ohio and is the daughter of the late Michael and Elizabeth (Rock) Mudron of Toronto. She was preceded in her death by her loving husband and best friend Bernard (Bernie) Kane who passed away on February 14, 2007. They were married on November 12, 1955. She was also preceded by her six sisters; Madge DeJulio, Betty Pope, Anna Burns, Helen Welday, Mary Bauer and Barbara Mudron; along with her two brothers Bob and Michael Mudron.

She was member of St. Francis Roman Catholic Church, a member of the Toronto High School Alumni Association Class of 1954, the Toronto Historical Association and Toronto Sunrise Seniors. She retired from First Energy (Sammis) in 1992.

Surviving are her two sons; Robert (Caron McNamara) Kane of Fitchburg, MA and David (Ruth Garnick) Kane of West Chester, PA. She is also survived by two grandsons (Zachary and Ryan) along with many loving nieces and nephews. Her children, immediate and extended family were blessed to share a long and joyful life. Family was the heart and soul of her life.
