Marguerite (Brideau) Coughlin passed away peacefully on April 30,2025 after a time of declining health.
Marguerite was the youngest of eleven children born to Peter and Ella (Albert) Brideau. Marguerite was born, raised and lived her life in Leominster. Much of her life she lived in the family home located in French Hill with her sister and then nephew in the family house. Margurite worked many jobs throughout her life – waitress at local restaurants, Foster Grant, later doing custodial work for Leominster Public Schools. But the work she enjoyed most was that of being a nanny to three different families. She loved the children like they were her own.
Marguerite at the age of sixty married, for the first time, the love of her life, James “Jim” Coughlin. They had wonderful times together, but those times were cut short when Jim started his battle with Alzheimer’s. Marguerite was by his side through it all, even though they were some of the toughest days of her life.
Marguerite did not have children of her own but loved every niece, nephew, great niece, and great nephew that came along deeply. She and her sisters, who were dubbed “The Auntourage,” attended many weddings, graduations, birthday parties, school plays and many other family occasions together. Always bringing laughter and fun wherever they went.
Marguerite was predeceased by her parents, many siblings, in laws and nieces of the Brideau Family.
Marguerite will be remembered by her family and friends for her love of God, her love of her family, her friendship, her laughter, her generosity and her fun loving nature.
