May 16, 1932 — Aug 10, 2026

Sterling

Marie Collette (Mailloux) Leblanc passed away Monday, August 10, 2026 at Sterling Village Nursing Home where she resided for 5 years. A graduate of St. Bernard’s High School and Stevens Business College she lived in Fitchburg most of her life, most recently at Anwelt apartments.

She was born May 16, 1932, the daughter of the late Robert O. and Alice (Collette) Mailloux. She is survived by her brother Richard (Sandra) Mailloux of Lunenburg, sister-in-law, Ita Mailloux of Fitchburg and many adored nieces and nephews. She was known for remembering and sending greeting cards for all occasions large and small. She was predeceased by her sister Claire (Presnell) Schreiner and her brother Robert O. Mailloux, Jr.

Marie, or Collette as she was known in the family, was a strong woman who overcame many health challenges during her life. She was a long-time employee of Independent Lock Company and moved to North Carolina when the company merged with Unican.

Returning to the area, she worked at the former Twin City Dodge and finished her career as a clerk in the City of Fitchburg Building Department. Over the years she took many trips to see plays and musicals throughout the Northeast and beyond.

She was married to Edgar “Guy” Leblanc in November of 1991. She and Guy split their time between Arizona and Leominster; it was in Arizona that she developed a life-long passion for college basketball.

Services and burial will be private.

Brandon Funeral Home, 305 Wanoosnoc Rd., Fitchburg, MA is assisting with Marie's arrangements.
