It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Mary P. Bourgault, a true beacon of love, care, and resilience. Born on January 8, 1934, in Fitchburg, MA, Mary lived a beautiful and fulfilling life, always prioritizing the needs of her family and those she held dear. Her fervent spirit and unwavering dedication were evident in her professional life as well. She built a remarkable career working diligently as a molder at Foster Grant, Celu Plastics, and later at Modu Form Co, from where she retired in 2000.
Mary's culinary skills were nothing short of legendary, with her Italian sauce being a family favorite, a testament to her exceptional culinary prowess. She was a woman of substance, leaving an indelible mark on everyone she met, a testament to her compassionate nature and warm personality. Mary is survived by her loving children, daughter Lucinda (Brian) Racine, and son Matthew Bourgault. She is preceded in death by her parents, Charles and Lucia Costa; her beloved husband, Robert Bourgault; and her dear sons, Stephen and Robert Bourgault.
The family will be receiving friends and loved ones for a calling hour on Friday, January 16, 2026, from 9:30 am to 10:30 am, at the Brandon Funeral Home, 305 Wanoosnoc Road, Fitchburg, MA. A funeral mass will follow at 11:00 am at St. Anthony of Padua Church, 84 Salem Street, Fitchburg, MA. Mary will be laid to rest at 11:45 am at St. Joseph's Cemetery, 487 Clarendon Street, Fitchburg, MA.
