Funeral services and burial in the MA Veterans Memorial Cemetery will be held privately.



Fitchburg – Michael S. Mancuso, Sr., 85, went to be with Our Lord on January 9, 2021. He was born in Fitchburg on April 2, 1935, a son of the late Samuel and Anne Mancuso. After high school, Mike served his country in the US Army during the Korean War, until his honorable discharge in 1955. He spent his career on the Fitchburg Fire Department, and after retirement, worked for the Mart Bus Company. He loved gardening, cooking, and crossword puzzles. He is survived by his two sons, Michael J. and wife Kristen Mancuso of Brookline, NH, and Richard A. and wife Kathryn Mancuso of Fitchburg; grandson Timothy R. and wife Gabriela Mancuso; great grandchildren, Adiana and Mia Mancuso, all of Fitchburg. He is also survived by his siblings, Constance Jacobs of Greenacres, FL, Anne Haugher of Jupiter, FL, Samuel Mancuso of Lake Placid, FL, Anthony Mancuso of Ipswich, NH. Mike was predeceased by his wife Jeannette Mancuso and his sister Charlotte Hall.
