Muriel Agnes O'Donnell

Muriel was born to Emaline and Timothy Gorman on 7/22/30 in Fabius, New York.  She died peacefully on 6/22/23 in Leominster, Massachusetts.  She was predeceased by her husband, John Richard O’Donnell on 7/3/19.  They were happily married for nearly 66 years.

After raising their three children, Karen, John and James in Massachusetts, she and her husband, “Jack,” later returned to live at “Cottage Farm” in Fabius, New York.  (This was her grandparents’ farm.)  She loved being “home” again…spending quality time with many of her siblings and family.

She loved going to yard sales with her sister, Marie, and was always up for going OUT to eat!

Jack and “Murt,” moved to Fitchburg, Massachusetts in 2006 to be near their son, James, his wife, Midori, and their two daughters, Moet and Emma.

Muriel LOVED to visit!  She spent her last year at The Highlands (in Fitchburg) engaging both residents and staff alike with her mischievous, fun-loving behavior.  She will be dearly missed.

In addition to her children, she is survived by her grandchildren, Justin, Shawn, Ryan, Meghan, Moet and Emma.  Her great-grandchildren are Brady, Jacob, Liam, Julian, Liam and twins Lincoln and Logan. Also daughter-in-laws, Midori and Lesley…along with Justin’s wife, Katie, Shawn’s wife, Melody, and Ryan’s wife, Sonya. She was the last of seven siblings.  She is also survived by about 25 nieces and nephews.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, July 1, 2023, at 11 a.m. in St. Edward the Confessor Church, Church St., Westminster.  Burial will follow in Woodside Cemetery, Westminster.  A calling hour will be held on Saturday, July 1, 2023, from 9:00 a.m. - 10:15 a.m. in the Brandon Funeral Home, 305 Wanoosnoc Road, Fitchburg.
