Nancy J. (Williams) Bent

Nancy will be laid to rest following a brief service at the Massachusetts Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Winchendon, MA on August 25th at 1 pm. A reception will follow at Beth Eden Baptist Church.

Nancy J. (Williams) Bent, 83, of Fitchburg, passed away on Sunday, August 15, 2021 at Health Alliance Hospital in Leominster.
Nancy was born in Fitchburg to the late Francis and Mildred (Parkhurst) Williams. She attended Fitchburg schools, graduating from Fitchburg High, and was a lifelong member of Fitchburg’s Beth Eden Baptist Church.
Nancy retired from Simonds Saw and Steel after her career as an Executive Administrative Assistant and had previously worked at WFGL radio. Nancy was known for excelling at her crafting hobbies including ceramics, needlework, painting, and quilting. She enjoyed watching Boston sports teams, especially the Patriots. In summertime, Nancy loved rocking on the front porch with her beloved husband and “spoiled rotten” cat. She cherished visiting friends, many made during their travels RV camping, and time spent maintaining her gardens.
Nancy’s faithfulness, contagious laughter, and willingness to bear others’ burdens even in her own difficult times will be deeply missed by family and friends.
Nancy is survived by her sister-in-law, cousins, and her nieces, nephews, and cat. Nancy was predeceased by her husband of 61 years, Donald Bent, her sister, Barbara Williams, and her brother, David Williams.
