Per Noreen’s wishes, a funeral will not be held. A celebration of life will be announced at a later date.
The world lost a beloved mother, wife, and sister, Noreen Evelyn McGranor who passed peacefully in her home on August 1, 2022, following a long battle with metastatic breast cancer. She was 60 years old.
Noreen was surrounded by her husband of 25 years, Scott, daughter Shana, and sisters Jennifer and Lila. Noreen was born on January 4, 1962, in Athol, MA. She was a proud employee of the United States Postal Service in Bolton, MA as a rural carrier for the past 19 years. Noreen was an avid quilter and scrapbooker and participated in two community quilting guilds. She enjoyed traveling and most recently went on a cruise to Alaska with her husband Scott in November of 2021.
Noreen was always full of life, adventure, and love. She possessed a fighting spirit and to say she lost her battle would be wrong as she never stopped fighting. It is through her that we know what resilience and perseverance truly look like.
Noreen is survived by her husband, Scott, her children Jennifer and husband Jason, Kenneth and wife Dore, William and wife Taylor, and Shana, four sisters, two brothers, four grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her brother Albert, son Nicholas, and her parents Barbara and Kenneth Barry.
