Norma Battles, age 97, of Westminster, passed away on July 26 at Alliance of Baldwinsville. She was the beloved aunt of Marcy Foley-Campbell (Tom) of SC and Mark Foley (Tina) of NY; cherished great-aunt of Caitlin of FL and Shane (Shannon) of NC; and proud great-great-aunt to Shane and Shannon’s three children.
She was born in Fitchburg to Louis and Josephine Dragotti. She was predeceased by her sister, Beverly Foley, and her husband, Wes Battles.
Norma was a longtime kindergarten teacher at Hosmer School in Fitchburg, where she touched the lives of countless children with her kindness and patience. She had a lifelong love for horses, animals, and especially her beloved dogs, and found joy in the simple things in life. She cherished quiet days, treasured her Dunkin’ Donuts friends and Westminster neighbors, and lived with warmth, grace, and a gentle spirit that touched everyone who knew her.
A special thank you is extended to her devoted caregiver, Brenda, and her family, whose compassion, kindness, and unwavering care meant so much to Norma over the past few years.
