The funeral will be held Wednesday, January 7, 2015 at 11:30 a.m. in Brandon Funeral Home, 305 Wanoosnoc Rd., Fitchburg. A calling hour is Wednesday from 10:30-11:30 a.m. Burial will follow in the Massachusetts Veterans’ Memorial Cemetery, Winchendon. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to

Norma (Lehtinen) Wade, 87, passed away January 2, 2015, in Leominster Hospital.She was born October 7, 1927, in Fitchburg, the daughter of Felix and Tynne (Korvela) Lehtinen. She attended Fitchburg High School and worked at Baystate Curtain Co.She leaves her husband, Edward Wade, with whom she celebrated 67 years of marriage on June 21, 2014; two daughters, Pamela Haapanen and her companion, Michael McCarthy, and Deborah Wade, both of Fitchburg; two granddaughters, Andrea Lackey of Fitchburg, and Heather Hampson of Townsend, three great-grandchildren, Alana Lackey, Spencer Hampson, and Jackson Hampson; her brother, Richard Lehtinen and his wife, Helene, of Naples, FL; a nephew, Erik Lehtinen of Boise, ID; and a niece, Jennifer Lehtinen of Middletown, NY.She was a leader for the West Fitchburg Girl Scouts Troop and active in the PTA at the Ashburnham St. School while her daughters were students. She was a member of the Elm St. Congregational Church, and she loved spending time with her grandchildren.
