Osvaldo Ferzoco, age 94, of Leominster, Massachusetts, passed away peacefully at home on Friday, April 23, 2021. He leaves behind his wife of 72 years, Ida (Campagna) Ferzoco; his daughter Anna (Ferzoco) Tocci and son-in-law Richard Tocci; his son Pelino (“Bill”) Ferzoco and daughter-in-law Corrine (Cormier) Ferzoco of Leominster. He also leaves his beloved grandchildren, Tom Ferzoco and fiancé Meghan Bouchie, Michael Ferzoco and his wife Emily Ferzoco, Elizabeth Tocci and husband Brandon Estrella, Leslie Tocci, and Caroline Tocci, as well as his four great-grandchildren: June and Rose Ferzoco, and Branson and Caelus Estrella. Osvaldo also leaves family in Corfinio, Italy and locally, including his brother-in-law Rivelo Campagna and his wife Joyce, as well as his dear cousins, Gina DeSantis and Rosita Limongiello. He is predeceased by his sisters Maritza Campagna and Teresa Campagna and his brother Pasquale Ferzoco. Osvaldo, son of the late Pelino and Anna (Fallavollita) Ferzoco, was born in Corfinio on August 13, 1926. After his marriage to Ida Campagna in his hometown of Corfinio, he immigrated to the United States in 1949. First settling in Dedham, MA, he later moved to Leominster, MA where he co-founded Star Container Corporation with his brothers-in-law, Teo Vittorioso, Rolando Campagna, and Rivelo Campagna. Star employed more than 150 loyal and dedicated employees for more than 40 years. In 1997, the Italian Consul of Boston nominated him for the most prestigious recognition of “Cavaliere del Lavoro,” “Knight of Industry,” the highest honor a civilian can achieve in Italy. He loved traveling to his homeland in the summer and Ft. Lauderdale, Florida in the winter. He enjoyed cooking, gardening, and woodworking. He truly achieved his American dream. He will be remembered as a kind and generous man who cherished all of his family, especially his grandchildren.
