Patricia Ann Curtis went peacefully to sleep to wait for her Lord on January 31, 2021 at Highland Rehab in Massachusetts.  The daughter of Farrand and Elma Curtis, she was born in Ramsey, Minnesota on August 25, 1932, and raised there until 8 years of age when the family moved to the Washington, D.C. area. She grew up, worked in various professions such as waitress and legal secretary, and later received her nursing degree from Washington Adventist University (formerly, Columbia Union College).  She worked for many years at the Washington Adventist Hospital of Takoma Park, Md., finding her true calling in the Behavioral Health unit where she worked tirelessly for over 20 years.  Later in life she would go on to work as a medical missionary, cultivating her generous and humble spirit, and doing what she most loved, serving others and giving back to God.

Those who knew “Patsie” during her life were able to learn and be blessed by her 88 years of experience in lessons such as, don’t wait for a reason to eat cake, never say you feel “fine” (or she would employ her psych nurse skills to get the real truth); and the perfect man is a gingerman, among many other gems.  She loved to send cards filled with stickers, her pretty script, and Bible verses to her many friends and loved ones.

Family and friends will especially miss Pat’s generous smile, inquisitive mind, kind heart, and gentle spirit.  She is survived by her son David Beall (wife Faith) and daughter Debbie Digel (husband John), 4 grandchildren, David Beall, Jonathan Beall, Shawn Goddard, and Stephanie Goddard, 7 great-grandchildren, and many lovely nieces and nephews. She is also survived by her sister Rosemary Steen. She was preceded in death by her parents, her sister Betty Holden, and her son, Daniel Beall.
