Paul Donovan, age 65, of Westminster, MA passed away on October 25, 2020 after a 4-year battle with ALS. Born in Boston on December 19, 1954 and raised in Milton, Paul was predeceased by his parents, Jeremiah and Margaret Donovan. He was a 1972 graduate of Boston College High School where he was a member of the hockey team. He served in the National Guard before attending Northeastern University and earning a Bachelor of Science at Lesley University. He spent his career in the security industry, working at Synergistics, Pasek, and Tyco, He found his passion as a technical trainer in the last years of his career.

He loved the outdoors – whether he was hiking, biking, camping, or kayaking around the Boston Harbor Islands – as long as he was challenging himself physically and mentally, he was happy. He loved telling stories of his many adventures and his two treasured sons. He also enjoyed concerts, listening to music, and playing guitar. He was a mechanical wiz and was often building computers and guitar amps or tinkering with electric guitars or cars.

Paul was diagnosed with ALS in 2016 and was fully dependent on his two dedicated sons for the last three years. He was incredibly grateful to them for their love and commitment.

He is survived by his two beloved sons, Michael and Brian Donovan, and his former wife, Nancy (Leombruno) Donovan, all of Westminster, MA. Also survived by his devoted partner Kim George of North Brookfield, MA, his dear friend Ed Thompson of Leominster, MA, and his 8 siblings Karen Lambert and husband Stephen of Canton, MA, Mary Donovan of Quincy, MA, Ellen Donovan and husband David Harding of Syracuse, NY, Jane Carey and husband Stephen of Attleboro, MA, Sheila Driscoll and husband Nicholas of Marshfield, MA, Susan Patti and husband Michael of Methuen, MA, Gerald Donovan of Dartmouth, MA, Ann Donovan and husband John Scaife of Quincy, MA, his loving aunt Catherine Brennan, 17 nieces and nephews, and many cousins in the US and Ireland.
