Westminster

Paul Kiuru of Westminster MA, passed away peacefully on February 26, 2026. Born in

Fitchburg on September 25, 1943, he was the son of Hilkka (Heikkila) and Helge Kiuru. A

Fitchburg native, proud of his Finnish roots, he graduated from Fitchburg High School in

socialize, & sauna.

Paul made Westminster his home, taking pride in preserving the original charm of his historic

home through ongoing projects on the house and land. He embodied living the “Sisu” way.

He enjoyed spending time with others, always sharing his good sense of humor. He spent

many happy days in his RV on camping trips with his wife, Barbara, and family, friends and

his dogs. He found fulfillment in watching his two eldest grandchildren, Logan and Alden,

grow up, and recently shared joy in welcoming his new granddaughter, Camille, into the

world.

Paul is survived by his wife of 39 years, Barbara Tucker; two daughters, Andrea Kiuru, and

Bethany Kiuru and her husband, Zach Burt; grandchildren, Logan and Alden Shepard, and

Camille Burt; sisters, Linda Kiuru, and Susan Parviainen and her husband Harry Parviainen;
