Pauline Belliveau

May 19, 1940 — February 26, 2026

Leominster

We celebrate the life of Pauline J. Belliveau, a talented and dedicated woman who lived from May 19, 1940, until February 26, 2026. Born in Fitchburg, MA, Pauline demonstrated her academic prowess early on, graduating first in her class at Saint Joseph's Elementary School and later "With Honours" from Saint Mary's in Combermere, Ontario, Canada. Pauline took her love for learning and turned it into a fruitful career in education, serving as a 2nd grade teacher in the General Brown School District in Brownville, NY. Her determination was clear, as she balanced her work as a telephone operator with part-time study, eventually earning a bachelor's degree in Elementary Education from Fitchburg State College in 1970. Pauline retired in 1997 after 27 years in teaching, sharing her joy with hundreds of 2nd graders.

Pauline's generosity extended beyond the classroom. As a lifelong devotee to the Catholic Church, she found joy in serving her faith community. After high school, she entered the Faithful Companions of Jesus in Calgary, Alberta, Canada, as a novice nun. Although health reasons led her to leave the order, she remained active in her faith, becoming an organist, choir director, and altar server trainer at Saint Joseph's Parish in Fitchburg, MA. Later in life, she continued her religious service in the Watertown, NY area as an organist and youth group leader. A dedicated volunteer and guest at Madonna House, Pauline extended her faith's teachings of love and service beyond her local community.

Pauline was a talented musician, successfully passing music examinations at the Royal Conservatory of Music in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. She was a lover of nature, spending time tending to her flower garden, skiing, and enjoying the serenity of her waterfront property on Lake Ontario. Traveling was another passion of hers, with trips to religious sites in Fatima, Lourdes, Medjugorje, and Guadalupe among her cherished memories. Pauline's love for people, her joy in gatherings, and her dedication to God, family, and students made her a beacon of light in the lives of those she touched.

Pauline leaves behind her sister, Dolores Cordio, and many nieces, nephews, grand-nieces, and grand-nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents, Camille and Florence Belliveau, and her siblings: Constance Niles and her husband Ernest, Jacqueline Bourgault and her husband Roland, Rachel Croteau and her husband Andre, Bernard Belliveau and his wife Connie, Donald Belliveau and his wife Rebecca, brother-in-law Nicholas A. Cordio, and Andre Belliveau and his wife Ann.

Pauline spent her later years back in Leominster. She lived and received wonderful care at the Manor on the Hill in Leominster, and the family offers our heartfelt gratitude to the whole staff there.

As we say farewell to Pauline, we invite you to share your memories and upload photos to the memorial page in honor of her vibrant life. May her story inspire us to live with such resilience, generosity, and dedication. Please do so at www.brandonfuneral.com
