It is with heavy hearts and cherished memories that we announce the passing of our beloved Pauline R. Guillemette, who departed this life on February 3, 2026. Born in Leominster, MA on October 28, 1931, Pauline lived a vibrant, spirited, and adventurous life that was filled with love and laughter.
Pauline was a special woman. Lived her entire life in the French Hill neighborhood. Daughter of immigrants, she was a woman who was as comfortable navigating the digital world in her role as an executive secretary as she was pitching a tent under the stars. Her passion for camping, hiking, dancing and travel spoke of her adventurous spirit, while her love for sewing and quilting revealed her traditional side. A voracious reader, Pauline could often be found with a book in her hands, her mind traveling to distant lands and times. She never let go of her dreams. She obtained her college degree as she neared retirement. In the 50’s she and her sister drove their car across the new interstate system to the pacific and back. National Parks were always a goal. She would repeat that with Marcel on their honeymoon, with her family via tent trailer, and by motorhome several times in retirement Her dedication to her faith was evident not only in her role as a eucharistic minister, 94+ year parishioner of St Cecelia’s, but also in the kindness and love she extended to all who crossed her path. Above all, Pauline was devoted to her family. Family was everything in the world to her.
Pauline is survived by her loving children, Denise Guillemette, Joe Guillemette, Francis Guillemette, granddaughters Grace and Rose Guillemette, sister Jeannette Marcoux, many brother and sister-in-law‘s, nieces/nephews, etc. She was preceded in death by her husband Marcel, siblings Gerry, Ray, Marcel, Claire, Irene, Paul and Roger, as well as parents, Wilfrid and Juliette Pothier. Preceding also were many sister and brother in laws, as well. Her family was huge, and represented her core friend group. Each of them held a special double place in her heart, and their memories are part of the tapestry of this incredibly close family.
As we remember Pauline, we invite you to leave memories, stories, and upload photos to the memorial page. These shared experiences will serve as a testament to her enduring spirit and the impact she had on so many lives.
