The funeral will be held on Saturday, December 11, 2021 at 10:00 AM in the Brandon Funeral Home, 305 Wanoosnoc Road, Fitchburg, MA 01420.
Fitchburg- Raul O. Berhouet, II, 86, of Fitchburg, passed away peacefully on November 18, 2021 at Gardner Rehabilitation and Nursing Center in Gardner, MA. He was born on December 24, 1934 in Montevideo, Uruguay to the late Raul O. Berhouet, I and Maria Elena (Betida) Berhouet. His loving wife of 60 years, Gladys (Aristegui) Berhouet, passed away May 4, 2021. And, he was predeceased by his sister, Iris Berhouet of Argentina. Raul moved his family to Fitchburg, MA from Uruguay in 1970. He worked at Great American Chemical Corporation for several years before working in construction and serving as a union steward. He continued working part-time after his retirement. His favorite sport was soccer. He enjoyed playing soccer, organizing teams and coaching. He also enjoyed hosting cook-outs to celebrate wins with family and friends. And, he enjoyed family get togethers and trips.
He will be lovingly remembered by his three children and grandchildren, daughter, Adriana Carneiro and her twin daughters, Alexis and Amanda Carneiro of Enfield, CT, son, Raul O. Berhouet, III and his daughters, Kayla and Jessica Berhouet and, son, Omar Berhouet and wife Riva (Scott) Berhouet and their children, Omar and Amir Berhouet, Aiden, Kaian and Nadja Douai, of Fitchburg. He is also survived by his brother, Heber Berhouet and his family of Barcelona, Spain and sisters, Aurora, Yvonne and Susana of Ontario, Canada and Mabel of Montevideo, Uruguay and many nieces and nephews.
