LEOMINSTER - Ricci J. Perla , 69 , died Tuesday , May 2, 2023 at Leominster Health Alliance Hospital.
He was born in Leominster on December 30, 1953, the son of the late Serafino Perla and Joya (DeSilvestri) Perla. Ricci grew up in Leominster and graduated from Leominster High School. He graduated from the Dental Laboratory Technician program at Montachusett Regional Vocational School in 1974. Ricci opened Perla Dental Lab in 1977, his own successful denture laboratory. He furthered his education by attending The Oregon Denturist College and graduated with an Associate’s Degree in Applied Science in 1992. Upon graduation, he returned to Leominster and opened Dental Design of New England, which he ran successfully for many years. Ricci went on to become a laboratory manager for Aspen Dental in Leominster, where he worked until retirement.
He was a member of the Leominster Knights of Columbus and the Leominster Eagles. Ricci enjoyed playing bocci, skiing, fishing, hunting in Vermont, and good times spent at Ogunquit Beach, Maine, and in Lake Winnipesaukee. He was very proud of his Italian heritage and often attended the Italian Festivals in the North End of Boston.
Ricci is survived by his brother, Barry and Mariellen Perla; his nieces; Alana and Bianca Perla; his daughter, Carli Lambert; and granddaughter, Mia.
A Mass will be held on Wednesday, May 10, 2023, at 11 am in St. Anna's Church 199 Lancaster St., Leominster. All attending are asked to go directly to the church. Burial in St. Leo Cemetery, Leominster will be private at a later date. There are no calling hours.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial donations in Ricci's memory be made to Leominster Dialysis 20 Commercial Rd. #5 Leominster, MA 01453
